We've hit another successful milestone this week at our new facility: producing our first saleable material from our state-of-the-art digital press and finishing line. In the image, from right to left, you see the efficient Contiweb non-stop unwinder, our versatile HP T250 digital press, and the robust Müller Martini SigmaLine Compact. Our operators have dedicated the past week to training on the SigmaLine, perfecting their expertise with this sophisticated equipment. To guarantee a smooth transition, we will have support on-site through the end of March as we commence production. Whoop!!! I think my feet have finally touched the ground again after picking up the award for UK Print Company of the Year at the prestigious Printweek Awards last week! I'm in my 29th year in the printing industry and whilst I can't remember precisely which year was my first at these awards, I remember being fresh faced (with dark hair, where did that go 🙄), intimidated by all the big shots in the room and unable to afford a drink at the bar! Fast forward 20 odd years and I was able to attend with 32 colleagues and pick up the greatest accolade in the industry! I couldn't be prouder of the team that have taken us to this point. I joined the business 5 years ago and it's safe to say that it was on shaky ground and had lost its sense of purpose and direction. Since then we've had to deal with Brexit, a pandemic, sky rocketing inflation and a cost of living crisis! Rather than crumbling under the weight of all those challenges, we've used them as a catalyst to make us a stronger team and achieve great things together! Thank you to each and every one of our 230 people! Special thanks to my great friend and head of marketing Glen Eckett without whom this would never have happened.
