Orders surge to 10 year record high at Manroland

Order intake for new presses at Manroland Sheetfed, the German printing press builder, reached a 10 year record high in June.

In February this year the company cancelled short-time working and started ramping up production at its factory in Offenbach - where in 2021 the firm celebrates building its iconic presses for 150 years - in anticipation of increased demand.

Peter Conrady - Head of Global Sales:

“The reasons for the very strong order intake in June, and for the year to date, are two-fold: Since the beginning of 2021 we have been seeing an increasing number of projects for both 700 and 900 size presses, as printers around the world began to regain investment confidence post Covid. Moreover, the ROLAND 700 Evolution  and the recently launched ROLAND 900 Evolution  series presses are absolute state-of-the-art technology that offer significant commercial advantages. Our customers recognise this”
