Printers brought laurels for Ludhiana

Ludhiana, April 10, 2023: Offset Printers’ Association (OPA) organized felicitation ceremony, to salute and in the honour of Printers of Ludhiana at ITC Fortune Select Forest Hill, Mahiya, (Solan) Himachal Pradesh recently. It is for the first time that Ludhiana printers bagged 10 awards, 4 Gold, 3 Silver and 3 certificates of Merit at the National Awards for the Excellence in Printing (NAEP) organized by the All India Federation of Master Printers (AIFMP). The glittering award ceremony was held at Hotel JW Marriott, Mumbai recently. This most coveted recognition for the Indian Print fraternity is supported by the Government of India and are considered to the highest honour for a printer in India. 

Speaking on the occasion, Prof, Kamal Mohan Chopra, President World Print and Communication Forum (WPCF) said, India represents one of the largest commercial printing markets in the Asia Pacific region. Congratulating the award-winning printers he said, “over decades, Ludhiana’s Printing industry has stood the test of time and evolved to become ultra-modern and digitally enabled.” Thanking the government of Punjab Prof. Chopra added, “with the inclusion of Paper Based Packaging units, in Thrust Sector by the government of Punjab, I am sure, that now Ludhiana will become hub for the printing and packaging in northern region of the country.” 

Reading out the list of Printers, Gagandeep Singh Vice President OPA said, the starworts who made OPA proud are: i) Art World Printers, ii) Big Byte and iii) Jain Packwell Pvt. Ltd., one Gold each. Iv) New Sharma Screen Maker one Gold and one Certificate of Merit. V) Active Print & Transfers two Silvers, vi) Shiva Print Bazzar one Silver and vii) Swastik Packo Printer and viii) Yuvraaj Enterprises one Certificate of Merit each. Singh also presented memento and siropa on the behalf of OPA to all these printers.
